Magikarp Jump players can complete the game’s “Social Media Shares” achievement without sharing a single image to a social media account.
Pokémon Trainers are having fun posting their Magikarp Jump pictures on social media networks such as Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. And with every shared image, players are chipping away at the “Social Media Shares” achievement, which rewards them with Diamonds after a certain number of shares.
But for those looking to cash-in quickly can make use of an easy trick. Each time players press the “share” button after snapping an in-game image, the game thinks the captured image was successfully sent across social media. Fair enough. However, sharing doesn’t actually have to take place; instead, players can back out of the process altogether and resume Magikarp Jump without posting the image online.
This method can prove to be a tad tedious, but it can eventually pay off for the completionist. But completing the “Social Media Shares” achievement isn’t all that rewarding — players receive only five Diamonds per mastery star.
In the end, there are more efficient ways to earn Diamonds. For example, you can save up for that fancy Diamond Miner, which nets 100 Diamonds every 22 hours. Or, you can be the very best, like no one ever was, and compete in the game’s many leagues.
